| Abstract (p. 27): "Dendroid graptolites from the Xinchangian Stage (Early Ordovician) of the Xiushui Drainage Basin are described in this paper. They include 25 species and subspecies assigned to 8 genera, in which, 11 species and subspecies are new. Except some species of Dictyograptus occuring in the zone of Staurograptus (X1), most of the dendroid graptolites described herein were collected from the zone of Adelograptus asiaticus - Clonograptus minutus (X3) in this region. Among them, dictyonemid (in a broad sense) are dominant. In fact, these graptolites known as Dictyonema include two different forms, i.e. planktonic form bearing a distinct sicula and a floating vesicle, and the benthic form bearing a stem with a disc of attachment. The authors agree to prof. Mu's (1953) dividing dictyonemids into two genera: Dictyograptus for planktonic form and Dictyonema for bentic one.
